Temu customs fee calculator 2026 — what will your order really cost?

From 1 July 2026 your Temu orders are no longer exempt from customs duty. Here's exactly what changes and how to work out your real new total.

From 1 July 2026 the EU charges a €3 customs duty PER ITEM TYPE on every Temu parcel worth under €150 that enters from outside the EU. The fee is based on tariff classification, not per parcel — so the number of distinct item types in your parcel directly determines what you pay.

For example: a parcel with a phone, a charger and earphones counts as three types, so €9. Three identical t-shirts are one type, so €3. Our calculator multiplies €3 by the number of distinct types you add and instantly shows the new total and the percentage increase.

VAT is NOT added in this calculation. Platforms like Temu already collect EU VAT at checkout through the IOSS system (since 2021), so we don't double-count it — the new €3 fee is on top of what you already pay.

Orders of €150 or more fall under the normal customs regime, with rates that vary by product category, and this calculator does not compute those. Also, if an item ships from a warehouse already inside the EU it isn't subject to this new fee — always check where your order actually ships from.
